Planning a holiday but worried about your COVID-19 status? Many airlines and countries are now asking travellers for a Fit to Fly certificate to prove that they have had a negative COVID-19 PCR test result in the 72 hours before arrival.

How much the fit to fly Covid test and certificate cost?

How does the testing work?

The test involves taking a swab from the nostrils and back of throat, which you will then need to send to a lab for analysis.

Once you arrive at our pharmacy, one of our pharmacy team member will assist you in the following, 

1. Showing you how to take the sample yourself within our consultation room
2. Registering your test with the lab
3. Courier the test back to the lab.

1. The lab will analyse the sample and email you the result (usually takes between 24-48 hours).

If you are travelling please check with your airline how far in advance of boarding you need to complete your test and please make sure you leave enough time for the lab to process your result as well.

Before attending your appointment;

1. Please DO NOT use mouthwash on the day of your appointment.
2. Please DO NOT eat or drink one hour before your appointment.
3. Please bring your PASSPORT with you.
4. Please bring your smart phone with you to help you to register your kit.
5. Please wear a mask.
6. If you are unwell then please let us know so that we can allocate your test for another booking.

While the national testing programme is in place for those with symptoms of COVID-19, those without symptoms might need the test for different reasons. Many countries and airlines now insist on proof of a negative COVID-19 test result before letting people travel and lots of employers want to get their staff regularly tested to help ensure a safe work environment.
